Analytical Chemistry expert group

The Analytical Chemistry Laboratory performs chemical analyzes using state-of-the-art analytical equipment, spectrometers, high-resolution chromatographs specialized for food testing. Laboratory equipment is suitable for the analysis of all nutrients such as proteins, fats, carbohydrates, fibers, minerals and vitamins, but also all contaminants such as mycotoxins, pesticides, heavy metals, nitrates, preservatives & foodstuffs from genetically modified organisms, while it is important to control the migration of substances from packaging materials to the food.
The laboratory conducts more than 1,000 tests per week and has successfully participated in Interlaboratory comparative tests for the validation of the performed methods.

HRIC assesses substance risks for:

Contaminations which can either reach the foods from the environment or migrate into it or caused by processing, e.g. during the heating of foods

Residues of pesticides and veterinary medicinal products

Genetically modified constituents

Our laboratory performs tests on plastics and other food packaging materials for overall and specific migration
